Heman's Sailors Coffee. Boiled, old fashion, blue collar, every day, on the hour coffee NBC * MSNBC Home » Health » Heart Health Is it really safe to drink lots of coffee? Study finds several cups a day doesn't raise heart disease risk for most WASHINGTON - Go ahead and have that second cup of coffee - or third, or fourth. A study published Monday shows heavy, long-term coffee drinking does not raise the risk of heart disease for most people. The study, which followed 128,000 men and women for as long as 20 years, showed that drinking filtered coffee - not espresso or French-style brews - did not raise the risk of heart disease. Heavy coffee drinkers did tend to smoke and drink alcohol more often and those two factors clearly do raise heart risk, the researchers report in the journal Circulation. "We believe this study clearly shows there is no association between filtered coffee consumption and coronary heart disease," said Esther Lopez-Garcia, an instructor in the School of Medicine at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Spain, who worked on the study. "This lack of effect is good news, because coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world." Researchers also found no link between heart disease and how much caffeine, tea or decaffeinated coffee people drank. MSN Privacy | LegalFeedback | Help http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |

Thom,
Did I tell you the story about the boiler room engineer who was making coffee with boiler water? Couldn't figure out why everyone was getting sick. Nasty stuff, those chemicals. Scout,
That is why the "Coffee" is so important on a shift. Damn important!!! Some one that knows when to add Goood water or Coffee to maintain the pot and taste. The same on a good "Salt Water Sailer" When a Skipper sets the watches, the Coffee watch is of major importance. AND: "I'll Drink to THAT" Old Thom http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |

When your shift is over, make a pot for the next group.

Almost right Nutsy,
A FULL POT for the next watch. If it is necessary, a fresh pot but a good coffee maker can make a better Full Pot by adding what's necessary to a parcel Pot. Nothing like starting a new Watch with a Mug of seasoned coffee from a Coffee Maker that knows what coffee should taste like;-------AND; "I'll Drink that Anytime!" Good News Ol Thom,
I just put on a pot. Had a good 5 shots and think I took out 3 rats. Think I got 5 but 2 ran off under the dock, still had rat splatter on the cinder blocks. The rat population in exploding, and tonight seems to be a night to remedy the problem. I perfer Hills Bro's while shooting. And you? Capt. Suzy 35s5 NY |

Hills Bro is fine. I used Folger (Mostly for the plastic container with
the handle but if Hills is cheaper,it will get the nod..Rat shooting, from a chair with a pot of coffee, Yah! Life ain't bad. Rat Splatter? Your using to much power. You should leave the slug in the Rat. That why I recomend "Pneumatic" (True Blue to the End) |

So true Thom,
I told the engineer, if yr gonna make coffee with boiler water, at least take it from the condensate (before it hits the DA tank). Still had carry over chemicals though. Bleh! We added asbestos for extra flavor! Scout "Thom Stewart" wrote in message ... Scout, That is why the "Coffee" is so important on a shift. Damn important!!! Thats my beef, they are eating wires in the cars.
Using a Remington 550-1 .22....only problem is the CB rounds jam with every shot, not enough charge to cycle the next round. Capt. Suzy 35s5 NY |

They've destroyed 2 cars (wiring). $1300 in one day to one of them. Scout "Frank Boettcher" wrote in message ... On Sun, 7 May 2006 04:19:44 -0400, "Scout" wrote: "SUZY" wrote in message roups.com... I got some moth crystals, put them in an old nylon sock and if I'm going to be leaving the truck unused for a couple of days, I just hang it on the front bumper. They won't come near it. Sorry Jon,
Just to damn many people using Capt in their names for an ol'man to keep up with, real or puppet. However, I didn't mean to bring Nutsy into this mix. If it was Nutsy he'd probably need a full chg for those NYC Water Rats. Never did ever hear of him "Rat Shooting" Anyway, I was talking to Joe. He's the Rat Shooter. By the way Joe, Use one 22 short at a time in that repeater. Won't jam and just as much fun. http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |
