Dave,
Why did you post about; "No new Refineries?" By the way, Dave, I retired from that Last Refinery Built. Was designed as 40,000BBL/Day. When I retired in 1984 it was doing 100,000 BBl/day. When my Son retired, from the same refinery in 2000 it was doing 140,000BBL/Day. That was without any permits to enlarge the Refinery. Did have to get permits to increase Docks to handle increase of thru-put. http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |

Do you suppose there's a limit to the amount production can be expanded without building new refineries? Do ya huh? Why must "new" refineries be built? Most businesses simply expand existing facilities, a measure that generally costs far less than establishing entirely new facilities. Here's a tidbit for you--nearly every oil refinery in the nation has been expanded repeatedly over the past century, and those expansions have always met demand. Christ may have been able to feed the multitude with a single fish, but so far mere mortals haven't been able to replicate the accomplishment. I wonder if Christ price-gouged the multitudes. Max |
