"Bob Crantz" wrote in message Did you know that there are no sewage treatment facilities in the Halifax area. Raw sewage is just pumped into the ocean. Thank God you sail on the beautiful, clean Long Island Sound. I hope the area you move to will be at least 1/2 as good! Best do some research.. there are several treatment plants within the Halifax Regional Municipality [HRM] ... there is a contract awarded for construction of 4 treatment plants for the outfalls to Halifax Harbour. Halifax encompasses the entire county. Halifax Peninsula, Dartmouth, Bedford and Spryfield all border Halifax Harbour proper. The Harbour is a deep water, major commercial gateway and naval center. Nobody in their right mind would sail near a city and refer to it as an enjoyable experience. CM |
