Phalanx won't stop deep torpedos, as far as I know.

Yeah but the Phalanx will make splinters outta the Iranian Super Attack
Boats. The Iranian underwater missle is a Hoax. They were just poppin off some chemical propellant rockets that were becoming unstable. You did not see the film of the 27 duds, and the 3 pre ignitions. Joe |

No, did you?
The Kursk was testing rocket torpedos when it sank. The Idea of fast rocket torps is not really novel anymore. As is neither the idea that a carrier is prone to a ballistic missile attack, even with a concrete payload, phalanx or no. The wing in ground effect skimmer is at the toy stage now. If they think it's a big advance, perhaps they (or we) have missed something, like remote piloting, or something? Fear not, big heads are pressed together over this. Pride goeth before the fall, as I recall. Humility is the best weapon. The best defense is to give no offence amongst friends. (At least until the gullible *******s have their backs turned, eh?) Who's trustworthy? Terry K |

The 'idea' of fast 'rocket' torpedoes isn't new but getting one to work reliably certainly is. Also, the idea that a fast moving inert torpedo, or any but the biggest torpedoes, is likely to seriously damage a bird farm is preposterous. They carry nukes and are armored accordingly. |
