Seemed to me the total outrage and committment to war with the
terrorist never happened until 9/11.
Sure we lobbed a few cruise missle ect...but we missed the boat.

Short memory? We were fighting terrorism in the early 1980s
bombing Libya. And again off the coast of Lebanon.

Another thing to keep in mind is the Rumsfeld & Cheney
supervised the decommissioning of a lot of the U.S. military
and ratcheting down of intel ops back in the early 1990s...
remember the "peace dividend?"

How lucky for them that Sept 11th gave them a good excuse to
not only throw money into their favorite channels within the
military-industrial complex (which wouldn't be so bad if it
produced actual results), but also to blame Clinton. And
predictably enough, many people swallow it.
