Love this weather! We sailed (albeit light winds) yesterday...went
downriver to Fairfield Harbor and scouted up Doug...he was on his way
out on a friend's boat...we just toodled around the Neuse all
afternoon, smearing on the sunscreen (in March!) and having a grand
time. Went fishing this morning but didn't catch anything...guy on
our dock caught a huge ell yesterday...foot and half long and a sickly
green/yellow color...another guy said that they are nasty critters and
if you try to unhook them they'll take your finger off...a seagull
stole my bait when I turned my back and then stood on a piling
laughing at me...
You must miss Michigan.
Not quite 80s here, Lloyd, but it was in the 60s. Lots of folks at the
marina working on their boats.

Max

So sorry....

It could be worse...

I could be in Michigan!

I have no idea what point you're trying to make. I said, "people out here
are not used to nor were they expeicting ice."

It's been very cold out here.. mid-30s. There was snow in

Marin, which
caused a 30-car pile up and a couple of deaths. It's a

dangerous part of the
highway anyway, but people out here are not used to nor

were they expecting
ice.

Packed up enough food an drink for Dog & I Saturday and headed down to
the boat. When we got there the Broker was showing the boat to
"LookyLoes" We decide they didn't need an Owner and his Dog.

Weather has been nice for a few days with nice wind but Rain and wind
expected tomorrow. May go out if it isn't blowing to bad. Like to get
some running time on the engine.

Agreed to chk'd with Broker first. What a PITA!!

Jon,

I think what Scotty is trying to say is; "Avoid those conditions that
you can't drive in and LEARN to drive in those conditions you CAN"T
AVOID!"

How does one avoid those conditions if you're unaware that a condition
exists until you're in the midde of it?

Your broker really should have called to tell you he was showing
your boat...after all, it is still yours...

You wrote, ''There was snow in Marin, which caused a 30-car
pile up''

And I wrote, ''the snow didn't cause the accident''

What part do you knot understand?

Common sense? How is it possible to have common sense about the sudden onset
of conditions that haven't happened since before someone was born, and are
totally out of place for the area? It seems to me that you could make the
same claim about tornados... oh, I guess I shouldn't live in Kansas since a
tornado might happen. That's just silly.
