Another Free boat for the taking
This time it is a J-44 sans rudder floating in the Atlantic.
All I know it that an attempt to tow it resulted in the boat wagging so much they had to drop the tow. The owner reported he could not steer the boat downwind. Why didn't he sail upwind? |

Why didn't the tow boat stream some kind of drag behind the boat to steady it? There may be more to the story, but it sounds kinda like a parade of stupidity ending in a lost boat. A J-44 is nice boat. I'm sure whoever finds it will be very happy! Maybe this is what Maxprop had in mind when he was talking about the ever-increasing value of wtarfront property, you sometimes get free boats? Fresh Breezes- Doug King |
