I think you have ALL got hold of the wrong end of the ship!

If you had tried to email as requested you may have been better acquainted
with the facts of this trip.

The Sea Cadets in the UK has Charitable status.

The normal routine for the week is with 24 Cadets anywhere from 13.5 years
upto 18.sailing around the coast of the UK. The ship usually takes part in
the Tall Ships Race most years

May time is a busy time for children / students with Examinations etc. and
the ship usually finishes up with down time and to assist the finances the
ship is chartered for this particular week.

The trip is run as a Sail Training week with adults learning the ropes
instead of the younger Cadets.
For a weeks training all found I think the cost is very reasonable.

The normal source of crew has mainly been within the Civil Service, however
with less Civil Servants around the ship still has to be filled and thought
this may be a good place to find some crew.

WRONG!

I apologise if I have wasted anyone's time.

Regards

Tony R

I think you should have given us more information in your original post. It
was pretty terse.

I read it twice. At first it read like they are looking
for crew. Then the other shoe drops at the end, and
they want your money.

You didn't waste anyone's time. If you enjoy wasting
your time, your time is not entirely wasted.

Good luck finding paying crew. If you ever want to hire
crew, come back.

rec.boats.cruising ...as if you didn't know. You made two

posts in a fairly
short period of time, one telling a spammer it was okay to

post boat for sale
ads in the group and another calling someone a spammer for

posting a marine
service.

This isn't RBC , asshole!

Bitty Bill the usenet stalker.
Follows you around from one group to another.
How pathetic!!!!

Please quote the post where I said it was "OK to post boat
for sale ads in the group."
