Default Sportboat 29

Has anyone heard of a "Sportboat 29".

Deep fin with bulb, spade rudder, carbon bowsprit.

It looks like a Cheetah 30, but the rudder is not
transom hung, and the fin is broader then tapered
to the bulb. It's light enough to be carried on a
double axle trailer.

Do you mean the Bravura Sportster 29?

Thanks for the information. That is it.

A cool boat, but a little heavy. Too bad they didn't give
it a carbon mast and boom.

You can get carbon spars for it. Not sure it would save all
that much weight on this size, but every gram less aloft
counts at least double. This would be an awesome boat to
have in NC *if* you could lift the keel while underway, but
apparently it's not designed for that. Very Cool even so...
it appears to be roomier and more comfortable than some of
the other sports boats, easier to sail, and not much
slower... faster than some

Doug,

This is the boat for you. You can cut off that keel and
put on an adjustable daggerboard, and have the coolest
boat on the East Coast.

It's a great boat, all right... at the moment I don't have
time to undertake a project like that. But there is a Santa
Cruz 33 in our neighborhood that has had a lifting keel put
in. Good idea IMHO.
