What about me?

to soon to tell, we are kinda up in the air about what type of boat we will
get
I like sailing and my husband likes power boats so who knows. After we get
our
new house and find out what area we will land in then its looking again for
a dock
but yes we prefer a cat over a single hull. But if John wants a power boat
thats ok
to. IF we get a power boat it will be 30-40 ft. i am kind of worried about
the cost of
the fuel to run the dang thing lol. with that in mind I pray for a cat :P

Either that, or win the lottery...

Amen to that. The problem with a cat is finding a dock that it will fit in
JH wants a least a 40ft . A power boat is no problem the docks are a dime a
dozen down here to get one. Then you got to worry about where you leave it
at. I am glad we have not moved yet due to all the hurricanes we have had.
I seen a special on the science channel saying that we are in a 25 yr cycle
now for major storms. They Claim they cycle every 75yrs. The last two yrs
have been hell down here , so many have lost some real nice boats dang
shame. The cheap docking is 150.00 a month but the security sucks. You
have to worry about theft and some idiot banging it up.

The only way to get somebody who prefers power boats
(presumably to go fast)is to put them in a small tippy
hi-performance boat.

Speed costs. Our boat, which is only marginally faster than
a sailboat of the same size, burns 2gph and dockage costs
more than fuel. OTOH a smaller express cruiser might easily
burn upwards of 20gph...

Maybe one of the faster cruising cats would be a good
compromise?
