Anyone planning to be in Long Beach for the US
SAILING Symposium next month?
http://ussailing.org/training/nsps/2006/index.htm

This will be my 4th. Last year's symposium in
Miami was great. Oh, and I'm in two of their
promotional pics.

I note the picture of someone accepting the "Prosser" award. Capt Joe
Prosser was the Capt of Oriole in the late 50s before he retired from
the Canadian Navy and moved to the states and became your sailing guru.

Note: Your Capt Joe while on the Oriole was sailing an American buildt
boat right?
Oriole was buildt in Boston right?

And why would Joe stay in Canada and sail when he was allowed to come
to America?

I don't know if we're going to send someone or not. It's doubtful that I'll
be able to get away, but you never know.

Oriole was finished in Boston.
As far as Joe sailing in the States was concerned, you Yanks often hire
Canadians to show you the right way to do things.
Wayne Gretzky
Niel Young
Peter Jennings
Pamela Anderson
Michael J Fox

The smart Yanks even move north of the border.
