What is your bar like aboard the typical Canada Naval Ship Gary?

Are you required by law to keep the adventure steady by providing a
buzz level of spirts per day... per crew member? Can crew members save
up and party or share allotments?

Has this ever been a problem aboard ship?

There are very specific rules about the bar and they are different when
alongside and when at sea. At sea, the bars can only serve wine and
beer and no-one is allowed to drink 8 hours before a watch. The maximum
drinks is two per person. You can see that not many people get to have
a drink. Mainly dayworkers.

Alongside they are open after work and on weekends and they follow the
same rules as any Canadian Bar.

In an operational area, the bar is normally permanently closed unless
the Captain wants to let the crew have a beer.
