A Very, very Sad Day.

Just beause you're selling your boat doesn't mean you're not a sailor
anymore. Heck, you can stay here forever just by attrition from the amount
of time you've spent sailing...you can be both Patriarch and Mascot. Don't
you dare leave here, old man, just because you don't have a boat. Too many
people would miss you.

Time for a "PITY PARTY" I just put my boat up for sale.

The Old Man is Beaching himself!!

The time has come for ASA to find another "Patriarch"

I just started the clean up and Eye appeal replacements.

Group,

I'm not selling "Pneuma" to go sailing on another boat. My Myastena
Gravis has been raising hell with my sense of balance. So much so that
sailing hasn't really been that much fun. I'm sure that at 80 years of
age, it isn't going to get better.
I'm following that old saying;" It's better to look forward and make
preparation than to look back with regret!"

I've had 60 years of pleasure sailing. I'd rather not spoil it with the
few years I have left.

You people have given me a very warm glow with your responses. I'll
still be around, if you can stand a "Beached Old Man"

Ole Thom

Being on the hard is, well, hard. It's the worst part of living on the
desert. I can tell you that. At least you can remain close to the bay and
continue your sailing here. Stay around and share your experience and
wisdom.

My Jazz and I have just started looking and you're selling.
any consolation, I sold my last boat about 8 years ago and have
managed to do a lot of sailing since then.

It's a damn shame you're not on the east coast Thom.
You know my situation; I'd be proud to be yr first mate.

The time has come for ASA to find another "Patriarch"

No way, you're seat is still at the head of the table!

I just started the clean up and Eye appeal replacements.

Please post the details or link when you're ready.

Still a very sad thought, but I'd rather have the memories than not.
