Hey there, Oz. Did you see that San Francisco passed a ballot referendum to
ban handguns within the city limits? I think it's a mostly symbolic
gesture, largely unenforceable. I suspect a few folks will turn in their
pistols, but most will just harbor them as scofflaws. And no one will get
cited for anything unless he/she uses a handgun in his personal defense.
Then the bad guy will get probation (or a funeral) and the illicit gun owner
will go to prison for a couple o' years-to-life, depending upon the ultimate
condition of the perp.
