I was talking to a friend last night who's planning to buy a trawler.
He's 61 and was in a bad bike crash 5 years ago which ended any chance
of sailing a larger liveaboard. I can see why a trawler is a must for
him.

But does anyone have a clue why Doug bought a trawler? Doesn't he
prefer sailing? For the money he spent he could have had a MUCH roomier
sailboat, so why buy a third rate trawler instead?

Seriously. What's up with that?
