I'm now running Revel F30s with a Revel with the Ultima Sub. Rears are
Revel M20's. Kimber cable all around with Outlaw power. I'm looking for
a wall mountable LCD today to replace the Panasonic wide screen. It's
more than 2 years old already.

Total cost of speakers were 6K with internal cable mods. Sound is very
relaxed and smooth, though less critical than my ribbons. I'm pleased
because the whole system is still under 10K even when you add the amps
and screen.

Try comparing your Kimbers to these:

Man you've got a cheap system! How can you bear to listen to it, or is
like your boats, only for looking at?

Cheers

Don't the MIT cables filter that out?

The system fits well into our temporary situation. I didn't want to go
crazy and spend silly amounts when we have a one year old running
around. The Revel's are top drawer, held back by the Outaw amp a bit.
No idea why No-Boat Crantz keeps yapping about trains and MIT cables.

I read your whole post in one of my hobby magazines. Couldn't you have
changed it a little, or do you scan this stuff in?

I don't expect that you ever will, given your cognitive tools.

What is the characteristic impedance of your cables at 25Mrads**-1 ?

Martin, I'm using a Enhance Theatre system with Revel components. There
are no cables.

Now THAT is funny!

MIT cables are manufactured in the back room of Landover Baptist
Church.

I've tested them from cheap
to the most expensive. What a joke.

Please outline your testing methodology.

Sound By Singer, Audio Breakthroughs and other stores I'm friendly with over
the years have conducted their own listener tests. No one, not ONE person
was
ever able to pick system variations based on cable changes. No one can tell
a
difference between high end kimber cable and cheap Monster cable. I've tried
it
on my VERY articulate ribbons and B&W CDM. No one can tell them apart. I
currenlt use MIT stuff, which was a gift. (400 dollar cables). They are out
to
"dress" the system along with some nice candles.
Nothing effects the quality of the system more than speakers, followed by
source and amp. Wires, racks and power supplies are for the foolish who
don't
test what they buy. Recently I had the chance to borrow a power line
conditioner (Richard Gray model) and NO ONE could here a difference.
Gilligan bought into the scam that even Bose and Emerson owners know about.

And that observation, Bob, is why I am constantly able to drag this
group around by a leash of my own design and whim.
Never had MIT cables. I did borrow a pair once.
Maybe.
