Esay init?

sure is.....

How was your trip Ozone?

I've been working 5 / 12s on a residential development project. Enough specs
to choke a Bunyip. I got 2 week's notice and 3 fat binders of
specifications.... contractor is great and so is the crew.... busy but a
good job.... they only fiqured out today that I've never done a residential
project yet. I had to tell them as much.

Had this been a difficult contractor... I would have been pressed hard.
Great experience though. Lot's of fun...

Jeeze, that is one heavy set of specs - never seen anything like that on the
commercial stuff I've worked on (I guess the architects might see that much,
but it's a lot slimmer by the time it gets through to the contractors).

Still, I probably won't be doing much of that any more, now that I've
switched careers (again). Now doing techie stuff in a large electronics
company - plenty of variety. Main job is to design and develop test gear
for, and provide support to, the engineers who develop the products we sell.
As part of that, I'll be migrating from AutoCAD to Solid Works - a seriously
3D CAD package which I've supported in an IT capacity, but haven't really
used.

Did you get a look at IntelliCAD yet? I hear it's essentially an AutoCAD
clone (or part of it is, at least).

um, Wally, perhaps you should learn the game *before* you step up to
the plate.

Fantastic, other than spending 2 days hanging off a parachute and
having a brand new gearbox explode.
Fluffing hard work getting a cat this big alongside with only one
engine.

Serious bummer. What blew the transmission? And what sort of weather/sea
conditions required the chute?

Yeah... I tried a 30 day evaluation.... essentially a clone is correct. The
company won't pay for a legal copy so I'm not going to purchase it. I tried
to get them to cough up 50K for a Lecia 360 Prism self tracking Total
Station.... they won't go for that either. :-)

Tranny? Don't know, oil etc OK. Got a high temp alarm and it went
crackle crunch before we could do without it.

I just hate when that happens.

Wine glasses? Never heard of passing the bottle, eh? ("Whatcha drinkin'
there, Bud?" "Lafitte Rothschild '61, Slick--ain't too bad for an old
wine." "So gimme a swig, will ya.")

Conditions sound like fun, actually. And a good test of the vessel's
ability to make the crew feel either confident in her integrity, or
rampantly ill, depending upon one's constitution.
