Someone just brought in a 29.5 hunter that looks like your.

From a distance it's not a bad looking boat.

But when you get up close you think WHAT the hell were they thinking?

I mean, the way they put the two pieces together is insane.
The top deck is screwed to the hull in a way that the top drags behind
the stern and has a 2 inch gap from the back of the hull and the top
sections stern part... that has to foul up your wake and provide lots
of drag. Plus you have a gasket or seal underwater and if the boat
flexes like all do leaks have to form sooner or later. Is your boats 2
molded sections set up the same way?
