Heads up for cruising sailors
With diesels, or even gasoline auxiliaries for that matter:
http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilter-fram1.txt Bumped into it on this page: http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html May want to take apart my new oil filter before I install that brand, which won't be a Fram. John Cairns |
I've been using the Amsoil products for a while... quite happy with them.

Also, I recently purchased this new motor oil software, Engine Oil Selector 2005 (EOS) (http://engineoilselector.com/index.html) and it calculates Amsoil as being the top-ranked oil for every SAE viscosity Amsoil makes. Pretty cool. |
I've been using Fram filters in my equipment for over 30 years.
What's your point? SV "Milt" wrote in message ... JG wrote: I've been using the Amsoil products for a while... quite happy with them. Interesting... never heard of such software. I ran across some ebook about
why you shouldn't change your oil every 3000 miles. I didn't buy his book, but did a lot of the research on my own. I have about 10K miles on my Jeep since the switch to synth, and the oil still looks clean. I believe this is the book: http://www.motoroilbible.com/pre-one.html. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Milt" wrote in message ...
