Live Panama Canal pics

My brother just called - he's on a cruise ship that's just about to
enter the Panama Canal from the Caribbean side.

How cool is that! Thanks for the link.

For those of you who don't know:
When you think of going through the Panama Canal from the Caribbean to the
Pacific you would think you would be traveling from east to west. Well,
think again. In order to go from the Carib to the Pacific you have to
travel WEST to EAST through the canal. True story.

That's why I didn't say "westbound"! Another curious point - most
would say that the canal is west of the Longitude of Florida, but in
fact all of Florida is west of the canal.

Is there anything you do well, except netkkkoping?

Didn't think so.

I would suggest that the group ignore this stupid moroon until he professes
that he will quit netkkkoping members of this group!

Where is the cohesiveness of this group? Speak out, or destroy your
newsgroup! This is not the time to lurk, speak up for the group and
denounce the netkkkops, while there is still (maybe) time left!

Ah ha! I was wondering what I was looking at.

How the hell do they deploy that anchor? Round up all the guests and toss it over the side?

That's a spare, just like the prop blades (and quite possibly a tail
shaft located someplace else), that would be installed if one of the
others were lost or damaged, with shoreside assistance.

Joe April 14th 05 10:53 PM

Yelp it's a very smart move to carry spares while visiting other
countries.

Back in 81 while working for Pemex in the Bay of De Campeche (mexico)
we bent a 72" prop. Had to have one brought in from Texas. We had to
pay a 100% import tax of 28 grand. From then on... any of our boats
that went overseas carried 2 spare props and 2 spare shafts, 2 engine
heads, radio, gyro, and any other equipment valued at over 10K that
could fail.

Wouldn't it have been more efficient to fire you for wrecking the prop, and
hiring someone competent in your place? You cost the company a lot of money with
your stupidity and lack of skill.

Beware the curse of Chief Red Cloud! Among other things, it turns peeps in2 dickless cowards.

Oops! Sorry. 2 late 4 you already, boy wonder.

Joe April 15th 05 05:43 PM

Hey RedClod,

I was an AB and not on the helm.

To bad your not even an OS. Only a retard would fire a man for bending
a prop. If you run a boat enough with an exposed prop it will get bent.
But with your limited experience I can understand why you could not
understand that.

BTW your a cursed man, and you reap what you have sown.

Joe

Hey, netKKKop,

Are you going to report whoever it is for abuse for 'forging' my headers, Ganz?

I did notice the e-mail is frogged and that's not TOSsible. But, knowing you,
you have some bogus form letter at the ready to report the miscreant.

For those that missed it on Tuesday, the Symphony is make its return
today. I think they are just entering the Pacific side now.

I talked to my brother, and he loved the trip. He thought the prop
blades on the deck were decorative; it didn't occur to him they might
be spares! The people on the bow are off duty crew as the passengers
are not allowed up there.
