Response is slowed due to the compensation afforded by the automatic tint.

It's not a permanent situation. It takes a month or six to get the reflex
back.

Sailing sunglasses... polarized.. any tint... mirror finish to reflect back
the extra light from the waves. Get the leather side cups.....

I would recommend you get gray colored polarized lenses. The reason fo
gray is
that it won't screw up how you see colors, like purple and amber lenses
will.
The polarization cuts glare, which is your biggest problem. You can
specify a
lighter shade as well. I have bi-focal polarized lenses and I got them
a shade
that is dark enough to prevent eye fatigue, yet light enough that I can
easily
read a chart without taking them off.
