clean grease gun? how?

o.k. - so we just greased the feathering prop, but now have a hose and
metal device and little nozzle thingy full of grease - which, however,
we're not going to use for at least another year. So should we try
to clean out the hose, etc., to try to avoid its congealling in the
interim and, if so, how? Thankx.

You do nothing at all. Just wrap the whole thing in a plastic bag and tape
the bag shut and put it away until next year.

Ditto. I have to grease my Luke prop and have never done anything other than
stowing away the gun in a bag so that it doesn't make a mess.
