Doug's Next Step?

Sailboat...Trawler then one of these:

A Japanese couple just brought in a new one on a trailor with 2
matching PWC on ramps at the stern, also has a sliding board from the
top deck into the water. Doug would love it, it has a bow thruster and
his wife will love that it dont lean over. The Japanese girl was cute,
wearing a white T shirt that said "GOT BRESTMILK" she was kinda small
IYKWIM.

They are asking for disaster if they take it out on the bay on
anything but a flat calm day.

Not hardly. I'd just as soon get a motor home.

I can't even see one out on the Neuse River in a T-storm, much less
venturing further. Great boat for lakes, rivers (small ones, I mean), &
canals...

There's one of those at my marina. Butt ugly thing. Used to list hard
to starboard while in it's slip. Talked to the owner one day. He told
me the manufacturers fix for the list was to add ballast (boxes of
lead) to the other side.

He had it out in the Chesapeake Bay and a wave washed over and broke
the front ''gate'' down, then another came and washed the pedestal
mounted table and the chairs away. Had water coming in the ''front
door''.

I rather not see one on the Neuse in any conditions. Personal preference.

Same here, probably for much the same reason.

Anybody with a lick of sense could tell that big waves bashing in the
front door (as in Scott's post) is not a happy scenario.

Reminiscent of the flick, Cape Fear.
