Steel boats for Joe
Apparently, they seem to be quite popular down there, saw at least several
dozen. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...86025221ZyHCsq Hurricane damage or rust? http://community.webshots.com/photo/...86025845OMlXEP VanDeStadt? http://community.webshots.com/photo/...88870926UlycVA For sale, by owner. They spent the last 11 years sailing around the Carib, they plan on buying a land yacht and spend the next ten years cruisng around the US. John Cairns |
The first one looks OK, but I do not understand why people fair in
minor dents, The second is a hunk of junk and need to be melted, the last one with the wooden mast looks well cared for but still ugly compared to redcloud. Thanks for the pics. Joe |
You sure that third one is steel and not ferro cement?

I think your right Otn.
The mast stay straps would be welded on not bolted or rivited and seen in the photo. Good eye! Joe |
