Purist

I will probably wish I had never expressed these thoughts.
I came seeking wisdom. Dealing with one of those mid life;

You are never too old to enjoy your childhood, things.

I guess thinking or not thinking, I now realize that I ask for
objective wisdom in regards to the most beautiful purist
realm still left in the world. “Sailing”

But I came not as a purist, but one who was seeking the
newest technology, the latest improvement, the greatest
comfort, the mother board with the most ram and a sail.

I had grown accustom to cruise control, air conditioning,
power garage door openers, microwave ovens, color TV,
indoor plumbing, hot running water, electric lights, politically
correct behavior.

Captain Neal, I see the error in my ways.

Tomorrow the electric lights are gone. I just bought cole oil lamps.
Cruise control no more. Now its pedal to the metal. Oh! And turn
that damn thing off and just open some windows. I can go outside and
do that anyone got a Sears catalog or a corn cob. And well
seriously, **** all those high and mighty women who think
they can be just as good as a man. What the hell are they
thinking!

Captain you would be proud. I have decided to change my ways.
It's got to be a mono hull. In fact I have my eye's on a Coranado
27 on Ebay, it's a 65 or 66 model . Absolutely no frivolous creature
comforts here. A basic simple craft that just yearns to be caressed
by the wind, tiller in hand. The Walden Pond of sail craft.

What was I thinking. I will forever be grateful. Thanks Captain
For pulling be back from the edge.

Are you a worm or a minnow? Or more likely, one of those rubber frogs?

Capt. Neal® January 29th 05 05:27 AM

You are most welcome. It's the simple things in life
that mankind can enjoy most thoroughly. The system
has most of us running around working hard so that
others may reap the benefit of our energy and hard
work - all the while those who take expect that we will
continue to give.

Little do they realize there are those among us who do
not fear to ask who is John Galt and to fully understand
the answer to and implications of that question. You are
one of the perceptive few. Good luck to you and enjoy
your newfound freedom. You have just opened the door
of your cage. You are about to experience freedom.

Dear Group, The rewards of showing just a few individuals
the proper path are exceeded only by the joy of those being
shown these truths who are capable and worthy of accepting
them.

Mentor,
CN
