The Huygens probe has sent the first images of Titan back to earth,
following it's successful landing on Saturn's largest moon. Another shows a flat surface that is apparently covered in rocks and boulders. One of the pictures shows a shoreline of a dark oily ocean. The probe also recorded and sent back sounds, possibly of a wind in the area. What appears to be some sort of sea-going vessels with sails can be seen on one of the photos near the shoreline, though the mist in the area makes it difficult to tell for sure. CN |
