On the Phew-EE II. He's a nice guy but you never know whats on thoses purple gloves he sports. Anyone else have to deal with a pumpoff boat? What do they charge you? Here it is 25 a mo. with a visit every other week as long as you keep it under 50 gallons a visit. Joe The pumpouts in Boston are generally free for marina members. Further east folks don't worry much, given that there are 10 foot tides and easy access to open water. I'm sure Most of the places I visit to the south (Vineyard Haven, Edgartown, etc) have free pumpouts. On our recent ICW trip south I was appalled at the number of "broken" pumpouts - it was the rule, not the exception. When every pumpout in a town is "out of order" or "the person who runs it isn't in today" you get the feeling the locals don't care if they live in a sewer. |
