Much talk in here revolves around stupidity rather than sailing. Why
doesn't someone step forward and lead this group in the right
direction? Towards water, possibly?

Like the proverbial voice in the wilderness? If all these
locust-eaters would get on the ball and start talking about something
worthwhile, i.e.: sailing, then just maybe newcomers would stay for a
bit. Too bad that some of the most prolific posters are the least
informed on the subject.
