What ever happened to giving . . .

It has been said that's its better to give than receive.

One would never know it reading this disgustingly hedonistic
group and their "I got more stuff than you did for Christmas."
posts. And, even worse, (if that's possible) are the posts
criticizing certain gifts that the receiver did not like or
appreciate and wishes to return or trade for something else.

HOW CRASS! Shame on you all. Bragging about what you
received is immoral and unchristian. Flaunting your gift
in the faces of others is disgusting and pathetic.

Grow up and stop running around the playground shouting,
"Hey, lookit me, hey lookit me . . ."

Even without counting charity gifts, I gave 3 times more than I got. Giving
gifts is the best fun of all. The look on Suzanne's face when she saw her new
keyboard was worth a million dollars. The look on my son's face while he
reached for his musical lion was worth 2 milllion.
That's 3 million worth of gifts I gave right there.

Ok..now you've done it...Sorry Doug, but I've changed my plans for the
lighthouse...it's now going to Neal...it will look wonderful with his mauve
interior...and since it will be the ONLY gift he received, he will be truly,
truly appreciative...

Don't you dare! I got some nice gifts but I'm not going to brag about them.

And with a real lighthouse right on board, he'll be a much safer
navigator...

Nah, I've already sent Capt. Neal 2 very nice gifts he received on New
Year's eve..not to mention another one that's going to be late. :-)

LP (rather give than recieve)

There are few things worse than flaunting gifts.

Turning them all into monetary value is among the few.
