That kind of thing is just plain wrong. The event turned into a

national
news story,

Yeah its a typical liberal tatic. However I'm glad he did it. We need
to provide the troops with the proper equipment. Sheeeze we are
starting to look like Canaduh.

No dispute there. I'm not objecting to the end, but to the means.
The press can serve a valuable role, but shenanigans like that just
further
undermine its credibility.

In this case the end justifies the means....

So, you agree that Rumsfeld and the rest of the Bush Administration is
incompetent, but you dislike having it brought up in public?

OK, in your own words, how would you describe the deliberate lack of
planning and preparation, including firing top Army brass for suggesting
a larger occupation force, and sending U.S. soldiers into combat without
equipment that is already in service with the regular force?

It's certainly not "competent" is it?

well I had to say it after seeing some of the improvised armor
vehicles. Looks like Canaduhs best stuff, rolling iron boxes spit
welded together.

We can and should do better.

And I heard of a few other snafus concerning travel pay re-imbursments
taking mo. and mo. That bull****, we dont pay the troops enough as it
is and to make a family wait to be re-imbursed for military travel.

When I got out of the Navy they overpaid me a few grand. They wanted
it back...I told them to stuff it...........

They got it back thru my tax returns :0(*

They can build a smart bomb but they cant find a smart bean counter.

COW TRACKING

Is it just me or does anyone else find it absolutely amazing that once mad-cow
disease threatened us, the U.S. government could track a cow born in Canada
almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of
Washington, and determine exactly what that cow ate.

They can also track her calves right to their stalls, and tell you what kind of
feed they ate.

But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around in this
country, including people who are trying to blow up important structures in the
U.S.

My solution is . . . to give every illegal alien a cow as soon as they enter the
country.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

I would describe it as the kind of sniping one might expect from a bunch of
ex military people who lost an internal policy fight about how the military
should be structured for the future and are now trying to refight their lost
battle in the press.

Really? And the continuing needless casualties... needless because they
would not have happened if either the troops were properly equipped
and/or abovementioned "lost policy fight" had not occured and sufficient
occupation force in place.

On a related topic, have you noticed the number of classified documents that
have been leaked to the press in the last few weeks? It's time for the heads
of the CIA, State and Defense to get serious about putting a stop to that
kind of game playing before some serious damage is done.

Maybe it's President Bush, still hunting for the person that outed
Valerie Plame.
