Quite a cluttered foredeck... too many lines. Why the hole in the lasserette? At anchor... how about sailing? We have yet to see one picture. -- Jonathan Ganz (j gan z @ $ail no w.c=o=m) http://www.sailnow.com "If there's no wind, row." |

Same question for the boat hook. -- Jonathan Ganz (j gan z @ $ail no w.c=o=m) http://www.sailnow.com "If there's no wind, row." |

Enjoy! http://captneal.homestead.com/bristol.html Your idea of "Bristol fashion" is to have an anchor too large for it's roller, unpinned, unsecured; and lots of rope & chain just lying loose on the deck? And that's just the first glance at the first picture! DSK |
A magnificent vessel, cared for in a way that only a true sailor could do.
I'm sure others will be jealous and spit venom, but there's nothing they could find wrong, except perhaps a misplaced line or ensign wrapped around the staff. They will find nothing wrong in the character and essence of this fine blue water cruiser. Well done good Capt! Gilligan "Capt. Neal®" wrote in message ... To correct your misconceptions allow me to explain.
Both anchors "fit" the rollers just fine because the rollers are made to fit the rode, not the anchor. The anchors are not pinned, they are either held by the chain in the case of the Danforth or by a line in the case of the CQR. Even if the boat was rotated 360 degrees neither of the three anchors would fall off. The lines you see rolled in a circular fashion forward are the mooring lines and remain with the mooring when I'm underway. The bit of chain you see on the Danforth wraps around a bit and exits into the chain and rode locker through a hawsepipe. The stainless steel chain and line on the port side attached to the plough are tied to the stanchion. Open your eyes, please and put your brain in gear prior to opening your mouth. The hole in the cockpit locker is for ventilation of the sail storage area
and serves as a bolt-hole for Mr. Chew, the ship's cat. He loves to go in there and sleep and hide from jet-skis when they come buzzing around. It has a water tight cover that fits into it when underway in rough conditions where a wave or rain might come into the cockpit. CN "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message ... Thank you. sir. Coming from a true, intelligent conservative who
knows the meaning of the word "priorities", it makes me swell with pride in my work. The tide has turned. Real sailors can all rejoice and celebrate the fact that this great country of ours has returned to that which made it great in the first place - conservative values and a faith in the Constitution as it was written. Hey Crapton,
How went the Hong Kong Sails? Are you happy with the shelve? Did the glued on corners hold up? Ole Thom |
A vulgar choice of paint scheme.
To much crap on deck. If you had been in the navy you would have been taught Bristol fashion properly and have everything squared away properly. "Capt. Neal®" wrote in message ...
