I feel your pain. The Nikon 8800 retails for less than $900.


Actually, with the really high cost of the Canon with it's two lenses, I'm
thinking of keeping the 8800 for a "boat" camera. I now need to replace my
little Sony U30 with something equally compact, but with higher res.
