Par for the course...he's always done that so why would it change? I
suggested the plastic doggie bag things a long time ago to Eric the Dumb and then to Elaine, but no one ever did anything about it...we have three poles with dispensers set up at the YV and everyone with a dog uses them religiously.....but then, there are a lot of kids running around and actual real grass and picnic tables to eat on, so maybe that's the difference? Nor will anyone on A-dock. He apparently left a calling card on the steps just above the ramp and it never got cleaned off. I don't know why Don bothered to take him to the dog walk area. He never made it, as far as I could tell. Max |
Actual;;ly, it was a scientific experiment.....the smoke and horse
thing.....our baseline was a totally sober horse and rider subjected to a placebo of corn silk.....the horse ate it.... "DSK" wrote in message .. . katysails wrote: I thought you were referring to the possibility of using real anti-freeze, which also causes hallucinations (and eventually death...) Yes, it's dangerous stuff. Supposedly it tastes good to dogs, too. ... Wouldn't know about acid but I do know that horses get really weird when you blow pot smoke up their nostrils.... Do tell. Was this in a research report that you read? We have gallon jugs of water that we fill at home or at the dock on the boat so we don't drink from the tank....even with chlorine drops in it, i still do not trust it and it is usually lukewarm...yech..... If you treat the system right, it'll be fine. We have a water filter for drinking water, but the water out of the tank is no different from the tap water. Is the U.S. turning into one of those 3rd world countries where you can't drink the water? My dog does not think we're weird...he thinks we're God..... We had Chesapeakes for years... they're too smart and too strong-willed to fall for that. Our current dog is a pound hound and I'm not sure of his religious beliefs... he is learning, though. DSK |

Did you get a gov't grant for this research? Was Mooron on the staff? A horse is kind of big for this experiment, what if it had the opposite effect... instead of mellowing out, he got agitated and uncontrollable? Long ago there was a tribe of Indians in coastal North Carolina called the Tuscarora... they were basically native Rasta-men, only with violent tempers. They were very warlike and defeated all the other tribes and at one point were doing a good job of chasing out the colonists. So marijuana is not always a harbinger of peace love & weird music. We made the same suggestion, to no avail. At least Reggie will be staying in FL one of these years. My prediction is that Don and Gwen won't be up next summer. Their boat has been for sale for two years now, and I suspect they'll just leave it on the jackstands with a 'for sale' sign hanging. Gwen had knee surgery this summer and can barely walk, let along make the long march to the end of A-dock. I feel sorry for her. Max |

A humungous old Silverton at the old marina....was the joke of the dock
because the people who own it aren't really physically fit enough to handle it, so it's become a cottage at the end of the dock.....thing sucks gas worse than anything and is unmanageable...has so much freeboard that the wind whips it around when they're backing up...the problem is, the gas dock is right behind them and they've hit it several times. They used to have their now deceased son come over to back it out for them..... "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... What boat are we talking about? A forty foot Silverton express cruiser from the late 80s. Truly one of the most butt-ugly powerboats ever built, not to mention a terrible performer. The design was from that school that optimized interior volume at the expense of everything else: aesthetics, performance, economy of operation. It's a real truck of a boat, no offense to your Peterbilt. Max |
