City Isaland winter storage

Looking for a place to haul for the winter on City Island. Got the contract
from Barron's Boat Yard,

Dave, any of the non-full service yards are fine. Harlem, City Island or
Styvesant for example.

Any recommendations?

around City Island.

most boatyards in the state of new york insist that customers can not bottom
paint their boats. nys has declared bottom paint to a pesticide and require
licenses to apply it. there are fines for non-compliance. you can try
Connecticut, which state feels differently about bottom paint. Rumor has it
New Jersey is ****ty about bottom paint as well.

Jax, the law was challenged and then dropped as of last year.

Interesting. Apparently some boat yards don't know about the change. I just
sent a copy of the article reporting it to Barron's.

In case anybody wants it to show his own yard, the article can be found at
http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0BQK/is_6_8/ai_110961087

Most yards found it too profitable and continue to enforce the no-painting
rule.

Scotty;

There are a lot of fat thieves hanging around City Island

That's what make Nutsy so successful on e-Bay.

Remember, he has a Child to support now!

bothersome--particularly that the boat being painted not be located close to
the water.

But I think your reason is the most likely.

Not "likely." Definite. I know the people who run two full service yards.
