Katysails,

It's almost October. Are you going to strap on the old accordian and belt
out a few tunes for Octoberfest? How about Rosamunde and the Chicken Dance?

I've got lovely Lederhosen outfits for the Flying Monkeys. In fact, there
out for a few weeks in Leavenworth Washington:

There's Ole Thom in the picture, the guy witth the beard.

I put large fake styrofoam breasts on the front of my boat, I got

from
Babs, slightly used. They make great docking cushions and will poke

eyes
out of anyone who approaches. Maybe Katy has an extra pair just for

you!

Question to the group:

What kind of eyes does one paint on a boat to ward of evil
(bob)spirits?

References to books or links would be helpful. I'm looking for an
image that I can paint on my boat. Hopefully like one might find

in
the Med or Persian Gulf. Web surfing hasn't brought up much for m

e.

btw, sorry bobsprit.... couldn't resist.

I'm sure the monkeys look quite as attractive as any person of German
descent in loden, however, being of Irish/Hungarian descent I would think
either a pint of Guinness or a crock of Tokay would be more appropriate. We
just saw Tommy Makem in concert last weekend, so I'm all fired up on "The
Wild Colonial Boy" etc. Old Thom had better watch out with that beard. He
might roll it up in his new roller furling!
BTW, how does Babs manage to get the suspenders of her lederhosen to stretch
far enough over her enormous tips?

That's the idea, I want her to know where she's going for those times
when I don't! I was hoping for some sort of traditional eye symbol...
perhaps an eye of horus, although I don't know that I've seen one on a
boat. I suppose I'll come up with something.

Actually, I've switched coasts again. Good to be back on the right.
I think I've decided about the eyes; what color are yours?

Little buddy,

Unfortunately I cannot take your advice on the fake breasts. You see,
my boat already has breasts. Perhaps when I christened the lovely
girl I should have just splashed some champagne on her rather than
giving her the whole bottle; she became so inebriated that she undid
her own breasthook and out they came! I must say they're
breathtaking. But they're not up front. For some reason my boat
likes to lie on her back, and so you see that the breasts on a
properly trained boat (trained by a properly manly seaman such as
myself) are not up front but rather topside. I can only assume from
the position of your styrofoam ta-tas that your girl has up-ended her
buttock lines and is afloat on her knees!

Best,

Ulysses
