Labor day News/ Bellingham

OK Group

Michael arrived this morning, We spent the day on the boat using the
metal genny.

The two Halyards held the mast OK.

He had his "Poor Boy" Sandwiche and is still fighting Jet Lag.

All well here in the NW

Ole Thom had to beg off on Sundays activities. Old age raised its ugly
head. I was rather tired out.

Mich. graciously excused himself and took off. THANKS MICH!!!

Give me a day to rest my Myasthenia Gravis and get ready for the
Riggers
on Tuesday

Cold Slaw? Must be a northern version.
You get good oysters where your at?

Looking forward to the oyster harvest here this year...
Nothing like a sack of oysters and ice cold beer...

Yes Sir Joe,

I'm a man that was weaned on NE and Cheesy Oysters and thought all other
Oysters fell short. I found Pacific Oysters. No comparison. Bigger,
meatier, sweeter.
Had a half dozen a week ago and they all worked!!! ( I have stock in
that NYC Bridge)

Better Fried, BBQ, Stewed, and Bisques
and on the Half Shell. I have a Casserole recipe that is better than
Great. If you want it let me know.

I'm not sure of the size of your Gulf Oysters but our big oyster lend
themselves to good Oyster dishes.

Glad to have done the right thing. Also stopped by Oak HaRrbor and then of
course home to Port Townsend. Planned a meet at Wooden Boat Festival with a
group of friends. However sitting at the feet of the master of full batten
loose foot sailing was the highlight of the week! Thanks to Ole Thom the
lessons will live on .....

He didn't tell you but we scarfed up a 'dock walker' and took him out on the
bay for a lesson in boat handling. Remember when you endlessly prowed the
docks hoping against hope that someone would say , "Want to go out with
us?" Remmber how often that happened? The lesson here is more important
than the sail handing. The lesson is pass on the lessons to those who are
following in our footsteps and in our soon to vanish wakes. . . .. . ...
..THAT is the legacy of sailing

Thanks Thom . . . ..

M.
