Hey peoples...no politics here!
Spending some time aboard a new Tayana 48 DS. She's a great boat, though not so great in the light stuff....In fast furling from Selden works well, but is slow to wind up if a T-Storm is coming. A big drifter will help next season. I find her somewhat detached at the wheel and look out for bad trim as the wheel can tax you! http://hometown.aol.com/bobsprit/images/atayb.jpg And here's a pic of me at the wheel.... http://hometown.aol.com/bobsprit/images/atay.jpg Mostly day sails these days with Suzanne 8 months pregnant. We've spend quite a bit of time sailing larger boats...Hughes 38, C&C 40, Oday 35, Sweden 38, and so on. The weather has been splendid! Hope everyone's having fun this year! Robert B.
