That only Wally tried to answer the questions.

And all Jax could do was call the true masters of the open oceans
Guessers

He said its just about were the boats pointed and the speed.

I've got news for Jax, Ive towed items for several 1000 miles and
never pointed in the direction I has headed and rarely never went the
speed that was dialed into the engines. You sir, would be one of those
1 in 4 masters from the golden age that ran his ship afoul. The other
3 Master of that age would of tried to inform you but you called them
guessers. Thats ok with them, they want the ship owners to understand
what it will cost them if they are not willing to pay for true Masters
of the trade.

What would you do without that GPS that show you a traffic lane and
you have to drive down that electronic road to keep on a real course?

A DR plot is very easy.

Joe

I understand why a few licenced masters here did not bother, but the
rest of you should be able to do a simple DR plot. They are quite
useful.

Sorry, I don't check into many posts where Jax is involved. Waste of time.

All Jax can ever do is call names. And he doesn't even do it very well.

Yep. It's one good reason to keep working on paper charts. A graphic DR
is very handy and relatively quick to perform.
