Kayak Story
Above the Artic Circle, just a few years ago, two Netilik
Inuit who were not used to kayaking made blubber fires in their kayaks to keep warm. The lit the seal blubber on fire, and as their kayaks went up in flames, both of them sank to the bottom, and both Inuit drowned. When the priest brought their bodies back to Taloyoak, he warned everyone, "You can't have your kayak and heat it too. |
