I hate to rain on y'alls parade but all successful politicians are liars
in
the context that they say things that they know are not true. They have to
to win because the average voter is stupider than Homer Simpson. The way
you get elected is to hire the best pollsters to find out what these
people
want to hear than spend more money than your opponent shouting it - never
mind what you really plan to do. If you do not lie then you'll not get
elected, it's as simple as that. Look what honesty got Goldwater and Ford.

Actually, you're right. Some of us thot he should have said that spies had
caught the USSR funding Democrats so he'd had his "plumbers" break into
Watergate to see but old Slippery Dick was too honest ....
