Vito, just because Sharon is still around, doesn't mean he's not the first
on the terrorists' list. What I was trying to say is that the terrorist tend to go after anyone who is opposite of them in terms of extremism vs. moderation, not extremism vs. extremism. The ordinary Palistinians I suspect hate Sharon with a vengence, but the true extremists know that their extreme agenda can only be satisfied if they have someone to fight against. They will kill innocents and moderates to incite extremism on the opposite side. Everyone knows that they hate Sharon and want to kill him. But, it's easier to kill innocents and moderates and it does more for their side. Don't forget Rabin was killed by an extremist Israelie who was afraid peace would take hold. He said as much. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Vito" wrote in message ... "Jonathan Ganz" wrote ..... When they assassinate someone, they go for their opposites, not the people in the middle. Were that true Sharon and Arafat would be long dead and Rabin still leading Israel toward peace. What keeps Sharon in power? Why the Palistinian terrorist threat of course! And what turns ordinary Palistinians into terrorists? Why, the actions of people like Sharon of course. Each would be politically dead without the other. Why do you think the supply of drugs in the US never goes away despite the WOD? |
