Default Fahrenheit 9/11

Went to see this last night again with two friends who are serious republicans.
I was interested to see how the audience reacted as well.
Quite a few people cried during the movie. My friends won't be voting for Bush.
Some elements of the movie are clearly and obviously low blows, but there's
simply too much to ignore, too many facts presented through Bush contradicting
himself days apart and so on. Anyone who thinks oil played no part in the war
needs to see the film. Is the film a slanted view? You're damn right. Are there
facts in the film as well? You're damn right.
If you haven't seen it, then you don't have all of the info. You're afraid to
have your views challenged. Go see the movie, then get back to me. It's easy to
see why the republicans want a ban on this film's advertising.
But here's the clincher. The movie is NOT anti republican. It's anti BUSH, who
is really not a republican at all. See the movie, THEN you'll be qualified to
comment.
Did I cry during the movie? Yes, I did. I don't know what kind of person could
watch this film and not be moved by the plight of Iraq civilians and our own
American troops being used like pawns.
What a disaster Bush has brought on the US and the world. He'll soon be
stopped, but too late for too many. Moore's freedom as an artist will
(thankfully) be a final blow to Bush and his people in the political machine.

What Bob said. Go see it for yourself (I saw it last night) Investigate
anything you think was taken out of context or fabricated, THEN talk. It
will open many eyes. I laughed and I cried. and laughed again, then
strangely felt a bit ashamed at my laughter in places. And any one who
thinks Michael Moore is not a patriot is very wrong.

Nutsy,

You're getting loose with the truth again. I, like all of ASA have
serious doughts about you having two friends that will stay with you for
over a hour. Most of all; two Republican friend (g)

They weren't crying because of the Movie. Nutsy, it was the company they
had to endure.

That is if any of the story is more than a Fairytale.

Thom, you're a prime example of someone who doesn't want to hear anything that
might shake up the world you believe in. I guess it's easier for you that way.
But it's also a shame. Meanwhile, making silly insults in well beneath you.

He, unlike you, is intelligent enough to recognize that the Dem party
is a long way from where it should be. Kerry is no great leader, but
a lame mutt is better that that liar in the White House.

Hey Nutsy,

Kerry was on Bush's case about the Economy ( Which is recovering rather
nicely) He has been campaigning on jobs (Which have growing each month)
Kerry has been saying he would repair the bridges with our allies (It
sure looks like Bush is doing that) He said he (Kerry) would get others
involved in Iraq ( Looks like Bush has NATO backing) He said he would
reduce the size of our forces in Iraq (Looks to me like we are
disengaging right now) The Stock Market is up

Nutsy, I'm a registered Demo. but I'm not a straight party voter. I
won't vote for Bush, but I wish we had a better choice

The economy isn't "recovering nicely" unless you flip burgers for a living.
Bu**** isn't repairing anything with our allies. He still thinks he can
bully
them. They still have no respect for half of what he says. Bush has not
got NATO involvement, except for some training... no new NATO troops.
He should have had three times as many troops in Iraq to begin with.
Instead,
he's keeping soldiers there for an indefinite period. The stock market is
about
back to where it was pre-911. I wouldn't call that "up." It's not a good
predictor
of the economy in general in any case.

You need to get your facts straight. Go see F911. 99% of the stuff was in
the
public record. Read Richard Clarke's book. Listen to what the dozens of
generals
and US diplomats have to say about Bu****'s policies. Listen to Bu****'s own
words and those of Condi prior to 911 at during the 911 commission hearings.

Prove that statement. Even the liberal press has reported that all sectors are
hiring and that every company CEO that they have interviewed has stated that
they are forcasting growth and will be hiring.
