Default Fahrenheit 9/11

Went to see this last night again with two friends who are serious republicans.
I was interested to see how the audience reacted as well.
Quite a few people cried during the movie. My friends won't be voting for Bush.
Some elements of the movie are clearly and obviously low blows, but there's
simply too much to ignore, too many facts presented through Bush contradicting
himself days apart and so on. Anyone who thinks oil played no part in the war
needs to see the film. Is the film a slanted view? You're damn right. Are there
facts in the film as well? You're damn right.
If you haven't seen it, then you don't have all of the info. You're afraid to
have your views challenged. Go see the movie, then get back to me. It's easy to
see why the republicans want a ban on this film's advertising.
But here's the clincher. The movie is NOT anti republican. It's anti BUSH, who
is really not a republican at all. See the movie, THEN you'll be qualified to
comment.
Did I cry during the movie? Yes, I did. I don't know what kind of person could
watch this film and not be moved by the plight of Iraq civilians and our own
American troops being used like pawns.
What a disaster Bush has brought on the US and the world. He'll soon be
stopped, but too late for too many. Moore's freedom as an artist will
(thankfully) be a final blow to Bush and his people in the political machine.

What Bob said. Go see it for yourself (I saw it last night) Investigate
anything you think was taken out of context or fabricated, THEN talk. It
will open many eyes. I laughed and I cried. and laughed again, then
strangely felt a bit ashamed at my laughter in places. And any one who
thinks Michael Moore is not a patriot is very wrong.

Nutsy,

You're getting loose with the truth again. I, like all of ASA have
serious doughts about you having two friends that will stay with you for
over a hour. Most of all; two Republican friend (g)

They weren't crying because of the Movie. Nutsy, it was the company they
had to endure.

That is if any of the story is more than a Fairytale.

Nutsy,

Why in the world would anyone vote for Kerry? BUSH, has done everything
Kerry has been campaining on, with a promise not to raise taxes.

Thom, you're a prime example of someone who doesn't want to hear anything that
might shake up the world you believe in. I guess it's easier for you that way.
But it's also a shame. Meanwhile, making silly insults in well beneath you.

Yep... Bu**** has done everything... to avoid the truth and keep himself,
his daddy, and his friends in dollar. He did everything he could to stay
out of Vietnam.

Kerry on the other hand, has a long history as a senator, he served
honorably in VN, was wounded several times, and received two
medals for bravery.

That's why.

Kerry has a long history of being absent from the Senate, running home
to mommy after four months in Vietnam, and taking awards he didn't
earn. (One for shooting a man in the back.)

The only thing Kerry's ever done right is to marry rich.

Why would anyone ever vote for him?

Truth: Kerry was in Vietnam for 4 months. How did he pull that off? His
medals were for beaching his Swift boat (a real no no) and running ashore to
shoot a single VC who was already down and half dead from being shot by the
boats 50 cal. Others have said they don't know why he wasn't court martialed
for beaching the boat.
