We knew some cruisers from France who netted off the v-berth, made a great
play pen. Seahag "katysails" wrote : I wouldn't bother with a baby seat. If something happened, you wouldn't have time to get the baby out of the thing. Most people I know put crib bumers up in their v-berths and use one of those expandable child gates across the front. You will want to make sure there is enough padding around the baby so it doesn't get rolled around...if you didn't want to do that, you could do the same thing inly in the quarter berth or aft cabin area...the idea of a child in a carseat going overboard and sinking to the bottom is just way too vivid for me.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
