Terrorists on alt.sailing.asa?

Last week I noted that Israel represents a European invasion to many
Palistinians and their allies who, lacking an army with tanks and attack
helo's, perforce resort to suicide bombings - attacks that we call
terrorism. We don't consider Israeli attacks terrorism because Israel uses
rockets and bombs and uniformed soldiers to kill these 'terrorists', even
though there is often "collateral damage" (dead innocents).

I also noted that we (The U.S.) are Israel's prime ally, supplying most of
the weapons Israelis use to kill 'terrorists' so we must expect to be
attacked by these 'terrorists'. Why anyone doubts that radical Muslims think
that WE are the bad guys escapes me - they say they hate us and why and
scheme to attack us at every opportunity. But these facts were disputed and
when they couldn't be refuted I was attacked.

Ever since I posted these facts, I have been deluged with virus-laden
emails. My firewall and anti-virus SW had nary a hit for years but for the
last few days is quarantining and deleting a dozen emails a day.Somehow, I
doubt that they are coming from Palistinian sympathizers since I presented
their side, albiet without blessing it.

These attacks show who the real terrorists are - bigots don't want anyone to
hear that there are two sides to every story. A look at the responses to
the aforementioned thread yields clues to their IDs. Be your own judge.

You're prolly right. Not a single virus-carrying email for over a year then
several dozen in a week is prolly coincidental. Sounds like the same logic
that bans swords. Comes from hanging upside down (c:

Vito, we receive over 1500 spams a day on a regular basis. Our virus count
is over 200 per day. I don't think paranoia is quite the word for it.

WOW! And I thot I was popular! Its so bad that gummymint nets are refusing
all inputs from some major ISPs (PeoplePC for one)

What was the '60s line - being paranoid doesn't mean they ain't out to get
you - or something like that.

It's not paranoia if they're really out to get you...

I believe someone famous said that. It's not as bad as it seems though.
The filters work really, really well. Haven't seen a virus make it through
in months, and then it's caught by the individual system anti-virus
software,
which is regularly updated. Probably 10 regular spams make it through in
a 5 day period.

At one point in time (approx a year ago) every time I logged on to ASA
there was a serious attempt at hacking into my computer. AFAIK no
success, in fact I counterhacked a little bit and got some surprising info.

BTW Vito if you don't have out on usenet other than to come here, you
will see an increase in spam due to usenet being such prime spambot
harvesting territory. This is why I eventually submitted to munging my
email addy.

Which is a challenge/response system that is totally useless for our
situation. Thanks anyway.

Sounds like you need Choicemail. Haven't had more than one spam in about a
year.

I will add that C/Rs are inherently wrong-minded. They typically bounce
forged headers to the spoofed reply addresses, which actually compounds
the problem. Automated bounces are a bad thing.
