Cheetah 30
I looked at one a number of years ago at the Annapolis show. They were sort
of like an Ultimate 30. Almost no freeboard. They were inexpensive for a 30 footer but there wasn't much there. I don't know if they are still in production. A similar boat is the Carrera 29. This boat is in production and seems like a similar concept except it's easier to sail. www.sportzboat.com S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |

My friend Andrew, who is in his late 60's, has two boats. One a Carrera 29.

I think it will sell for less than $20k. That one was the prototype and
heavier than the others. Still a good deal. wrote .... "Bart Senior" wrote: http://www.bana.com/cheetah/descomnt.htm Interesting boat. I'd like to try one. There's one for sale in Branford at the yacht club. The guy moved up to a Mumm36 after pouring a small fortune into tricking out the cheetah. Latest word is that he'll take 23k for it. It's probably got that much in new stuff. http://aroundthebuoys.com/deco/ BB |

http://www.bana.com/cheetah/descomnt.htm Interesting boat. I'd like to try one. A friend of mine tried to sail one, considering moving into it from his Olson 30... didn't like it. He claimed it was "very tender" (interesting comment from a guy who sails an O-30) and "squirrelly" which I took to mean that he couldn't manhandle the tiller like on the O-30 which has an undersized rudder. It is a very interesting bot but for looks I'd prefer the Henderson 30. The Cheetah looks like it's a good bit more practical to trailer. BTW have you seen the Antrim 27? http://www.u27class.org/ These things rate level with the F-27 tri and often beat them boat-for-boat. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |

It wouldn't last one day in the Houston-Galveston area. - a seven-foot
draft just won't cut it. Jim Bart Senior wrote: http://www.bana.com/cheetah/descomnt.htm Interesting boat. I'd like to try one. |
