Default How Many Anchors Part II

On Alien we now carry three anchors; Small Danforth (Minimum size for the boat
and used mostly as a lunch hook), Oversized Danforth for overnighting/weekend
cruising, Bruce anchor-Untested thus far.
I was always told that it's best to carry a spare anchor and of course some
situations can require two. I see that Loco only carries one and I see that
most powerboaters carry no spare.
Besides Loco, is there anyone else here with just one anchor???

Does Scotti Potti's wife count?

Now, now! Like any sensible fellow, I'm trying to leave his wife alone!

Most of us don't "carry" the anchor on the coach roof though Bob! ;-)

Mooron must be quite bored. This is a guy who stays home when his radio warns
of rain...by his own admission!
Meanwhile, our C&C 32 has a proper anchor locker. You must be thinking (???) of
Ghost, which came to us with her anchor chocks aft of the mast. Strange, but it
never caused a problem. Better than carrying from bow hangers and easier than
dragging it from a cockpit locker.

BTW - Ghost is for sale. I saw an ad for it in Windcheck.

Yup, I saw it as well. The owner's kids and wife just couldn't handle it. Hope
she finds a new home soon.

Only one reason why a new owner would be selling that fast. They found major
problems.

Is that why your parents sold you?

They rented him out!

Certainly.... but I'd never stop sailing if it rained during a sail trip.

Thank Gawd!

No **** Sherlock!.... you haven't left the bay yet!

Best of all would be deployable from the bow rollers and sufficent
chain/rode stored in the anchor locker!

Maybe the new owner got frustrated at the constant smell of fish from the
cockpit???
