They Don't Sail

You'll never see a pic of Captain Bly or Joe's boats, nor will you ever see a
pic of them sailing on anyone's boat. That's because they don't sail. No way,
no how.
Let's see them prove otherwise!

Bwahahaha hooo ahhhh! (Okay, I know it's easy to smack a sockpuppet!)

Hey blubberboy, just go to Google images and search MSV RedCloud if
you would like to see a picture of my fine vessel. Its a long range
crusier not a little cheap daysailor like your wifes boat. I live
aboard so I admit I may not leave the dock as often as you (except on
my dink that is almost half the size of your daysailor), but when I do
I average 500-800 miles per trip and I go 100+ miles offshore. In the
past Ive posted many picture of my vessel offshore underway, you can
search this NG (redcloud underway) and see the comment from all the
people that have seen pictures of redcloud over a 100 miles offshore
in storms that would sink your daysailor. Let's see some picture of
your wifes little boat doing more than daysailing. Impossable huh?

That's one sad looking boat with one hell of an ugly doghouse. Still sadder is
the pic which is VERY old and may even be a still from super or 16mm footage.
Note what appear to be projector scratches left and center. No way those were
made by a feed scanner.
I'm sure that if the boat pictured is still floating, it's been upgraded and
perhaps those big dangerous windows were changed as well.
Do tell us about your boat, joe!!! Surley you have pictures from this decade!?

That's Dr. Ruth in the bikini.

I don't think Joe could get Dr. Ruth aboard...if he ever had a boat.

Yea I got rid of the Bimini and designed a removeable wheelhose. I
found over time no matter how well a bimini is made they all leak

Its was made to look that way, RedClouds lines are classic and fit in
well with the age of the clipper hulls. It is still one of my favorate
pictures. Often I still use my ol cannon Ftb with B&W film.

Must of been dust on the lens.

Not dangerious at all considering the ones that I replaced were made
of glass (not safety glass) and rode across the Atlantic 3 times
without a problem. Now they are 1/4 inch lexan. Nice airy feeling
inside even with the dark phillipino mahogany bulkheads, doors and
cabnet work. Nice views all the time, no peeking out of little port
holes. And the dark smoke lexan helps the AC's keep the inside at 65
degrees cool even when its over a 100 degrees outside.

You should have the ones I snapped today, please overlook the messy
dock, it's been a busy week Ill get to all the gear adrift later.
Sorry you can not see the Magna grill on the back cabin. But if you
look carefully in one of the pictures you can see the full size weber
grillmaster on the dock next to the swimming pool under the 10X20 foot
Picnic tent. That reminds me I need to turn the ribeyes they have been
marinating all day and I want to grill them with the fresh shrimp we
caught last weekend while sailing.

Aint life grand

No never have had Dr Ruth aboard, Id like 2 she a smart lady. I have
had the pleasure of Chuck Norris aboard.

He did part of an episode of Walker Texas Ranger here in the marina,
He asked me to be an extra in the bar fight scene. He's a nice guy,
has a nice ranch about 15 miles from here, I told him if he ever
wanted to use redcloud in a film to let me know. Also have had a
couple of astronauts aboard and the re-entry engineer for apollo 13,
he was given the presidential medal of freedom for his efforts to save
the crew, he was also an advisor for Tom Hanks movie. Johnson space
Center as 1 mile down the road many astronauts keep there boats here.
