Moths really fly

Somewhat of a technical discussion on how the foils is made to
self-adjust to lift the boat, but check out the pictures... DAMN!

Yep, an interesting little toy.
My feeling is that it will bebanned by the Int Moth Assn in the near
future though they've always been on the cutting edge of development.

I hope they're not banned, it's really cool and definitely a lot faster.
I like the twin foils with a bit of dihedral, seems like it would be
easier to translate into a more normal sailing boat, but they will not
have the advantage the single T-foil has.

I raced Moths in my last years in high school...late '60's and one of
my good friends is a twice World Champ and 5 other friends have also
been World Champs.
Great boat.

Don't you think the new super narrow ones are kind of freakish? I have
had a few friends who built & raced Moths but they were a bit more
conventional (and probably a LOT slower). In fact the first time I ever
heard of carbon fiber was from an old retired NA whose hobby was
building Moths. He also made his own sails.
