I read Bush signed a proclamation to regulate the anchorage and movement of
all vessels. It allows all vessels in US territorial waters to be boarded and taken possession of without a warrant or crime being committed. It's supposedly all part of the Homeland Security fiasco....... Tell me it isn't so Joe!!!!! CM |

Tell me it isn't so Joe!!!!! CM Got news for you Mooron, the coast guard can stop and board any vessel in American waters. I do not have a problem with that myself. Now when they do board I let them know Im as armed as they are. Shouldent be a problem to anyone except terrorist and smugglers. So since I do not plan to smuggle anything I do not have any thing to worry about. This taking possession without a warrent or crime being committed only applies to mid eastern looking people from Canada. Hopefully this will cut down on all the Canadian snow birds and world bums that anchor off Florida. Also sounds like a great determent to Ossama sailing any of the ships he has ownership in into US waters. We will take the ship away and send the crew to Gitmo. The positive side is this might bring down the prices at the on-line govt liquidation auction sites that sell impounded boats. :0) It's a supply and demand thing. Joe |
